Impronte d' Autore Wizard of Oz

Hello!  I'm so excited to share a fun little card with you today!  I'm featuring some adorable rubber stamps from Impronte d' Autore.  This is an Italian stamp company, but they do ship internationally!  I've had these cuties colored up for a while and I finally got them on a card!

To create my card, I started with my images. I colored them up and cut them out on my Scan N Cut 2.  Then I worked on my background panel.  To create this yellow-brick road scene, I used the Skating Pond Scene Die from Hello Bluebird.  The moment I saw this die, I knew it would make the perfect scene for a Wizard of Oz card.  I stenciled a yellow brick road where the pond should be and added some apples to my trees to mimic the scene in the movie with the tin man.  Then I added my images with some foam tape and popped it on top of some blue gingham paper.  I also added some red glitter card stock to the back ground as well as a white doily.  My stamped sentiment at the bottom finishes it off.

Purple Onion Designs Sunny Meadow Fair!

Hello!  Today, I have a very fun card to share with you!  This sweet little cards features a couple stamps from the Sunny Meadow Fair collection at Purple Onion Designs!  These sweet images are drawn by Stacey Yacula and they are just the cutest!

To create my card, I did a little masking and layered the Roller Coaster Stamp on top of the Fairgrounds Background image.  Then I colored it up with my Copics and trimmed it to a square. I added a little Stickles Glitter to the clouds and matted the image on top of a red piece of card stock.  Then I layered that on top of some yellow polka dot paper from MFT and tucked a blue doily in between the layers.  A couple of page flags and a button finish off this fun and festive card!

La-La Land Crafts Background Stamps

Hello! This week's theme at La-La Land Crafts is Background Stamps and Stencils!  For my card, I decided to create a fun little Halloween card in non-traditional colors!

First, I stamped out a black and white check pattern, trimmed it to fit my card front, and adhered it to my card base.  Then I used the Simple Joys background stamp to create a blue night sky and die cut that into a large oval.  I layered it on top of a yellow scalloped oval and popped it on top of a couple of spider webs and a large blue frame.  Then I created my little scene with my little bats, a die cut fence, some branches, and some grass.  A simple little sentiment finishes it off.

Felicity Jane - Holly

Hello!  Slowly, but surely I've been working on my Christmas cards for the year.  Today, I have a very fun little card to share featuring Holly from Felicity Jane!  I absolutely LOVE this collection!  Everything about it just speaks to me!  For my card, i used some dies in my stash to die cut the patterned papers from the collection.  Then I layered them together and adhered them to the front of my card panel.  I stamped out my image on Copic-friendly paper and colored it with my Copics.  Then I cut it out using my Scan N Cut 2 and popped it on the front of my red striped panel with foam tape.  I added a few die cut shapes from the collection as well as some from my stash.  For my sentiment I die cut one of the journal cards and tucked that just under my image. I just love how this turned out!  So much fun!

This month's kit is PACKED full of all sorts of goodies.  It's valued at $71.99 but you pay only $39.99 for all these dies and stamps!  What a great deal!  Just a reminder that you have until August 29th to subscribe!

The first card I have to share with you is one featuring the sweetest stamp!  Several of the Club La-La Land Critters have joined together to create one adorable group stamp!  How fun is that.  To create my card, I started with a piece of orange patterned paper.  I trimmed that down to fit my card and adhered it to the top of my card panel.  Then I die cut a blue scalloped rectangle and layered some "sprinkle" patterned paper on top of that.  I colored up my cuties and cut them out with my Scan N Cut 2.  Then I popped them on top of my rectangle with some foam tape and added a cute little "3" balloon right of my black bear.  I drew a little string from the balloon to his hand with my Copic Multi-liner.  Then I added my die cut "happy" present die to the panel with red, orange, and blue card stock.  At the bottom of the card, I added a white die cut "birthday" sentiment and paper pieced the candle with coordinating paper.

My next card features Birthday Marci.  I kept this card pretty clean and simple so that Marci would take the spotlight.  I started with another die cut scalloped rectangle and layered a piece of yellow patterned paper on top of it.  Then I die cut a polka dot patterned paper with my oval die and layered that on a red scallop.  I adhered that onto my rectangle with some foam tape and added my sentiment to the very bottom.  Then I added Marci on top of that using foam tape.  As always, first I colored her up with Copics and cut her out using my Scan N Cut 2.  To finish the card, I die cut a pink balloon and added the number 10 to the center using red card stock.  I trimmed the balloon part off of each number to give them even more versatility.

Felicity Jane- Lola

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a fun summer card using some stamps and embellishments from Felicity Jane!  This is one of my favorite companies!  So many adorable papers, stamps, planning supplies.  Every time I go to their site, I always want ALL THE THINGS!  Lol!
For this card, I used the Lola Collection.  First, I started with some cute heart paper in the background and layered on a couple pieces of patterned paper at a slight angle.  Then I used a journal card with a green stripe as my focal point.  I stamped a "wish big" sentiment in the center of the oval and added a strip of die cut card stock and some gold glitter washi just under it.  I stamped out my Lola image and colored her up with Copics.  Then I cut her out using my Scan N Cut 2 and popped her on top using some foam tape.  To finish it all off, I added a few enamel dots and a cute little gold paper clip.  So much fun!

La-La Land Crafts Ocean Scene Tutorial

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a quick and easy Ocean Scene Tutorial using Copic markers.  To complete this project, you will need:
1. Copic friendly white card stock.  I'm using Neenah Smooth Class Crest White 110lb.
2. Copic Markers (colors listed below)
3. Images/die cut embellishments to add to you finished scene

Let's get started:

Step 1:  Use E30 to loosely draw in some sand hills at the bottom of your paper and color in a solid block of blue in the middle of your paper using B24.  I'm not worried about even application here, just trying to lay down one layer of color.

Step 2: Trace over your sand lines using E31 and color in the bottom portion of the scene with E30.  Again, I'm not worried about even application, just trying to lay down some color and saturate the paper a bit.

Step 3: Using Copic colors E35, E33, E31, and E30, begin shading each sand hill.  Darkest on top, working your way down to the lightest shade at the bottom.  These colors blend easily so this should be fairly easy.

Step 4: Add tiny dots to each hill using the following Copic colors: E37, E35, E33, E31, E30.  Again, concentrate the darker colors towards the top of each hill and work down with the lighter shades towards the bottom.

Step 5: Now it's time to work on the ocean.  Using B29, added some random lines in varying spots on top of your blue layer.  See below:

Step 6: Blend these lines with B26 and B24 until your water looks something like this:

Step 7: Using several yellow and orange makers, color in the sky.  Darkest shade next to your water, blending all the way up to the top of the scene.  (YR18, YR16, YR12, Y38, Y35)

Step 8: Add some white highlights to your water using a white gel pen.  Simply add some loose squiggly lines to the darkest parts of your water and across the bottom where these water meets the sand.  These will serve at the crests of your waves.

Step 9: As a final touch, add your chosen die cuts, stamped images, and sentiment to your scene.
