A+ Teacher!

This is yet another entry for the Sassy Studios DT Call. I created a cover for the notepad and used the teacher digi stamp on the front. I used a white gel pen to mimic chalk and added some prima flowers, fabric brads, ribbon, and designer paper. I really like the way this turned out. Especially since I'm a teacher :)

Sassy Studios Design Team Call

This is a card I made for the Sassy Studio Design Team Call. I'm hoping to be chosen for their new design team. I just love their digi stamps...they're so much fun to play with! For this card, I used one of the free digi images that was given a few weeks ago. Every 1st and 15th, they release new images and usually give a free one away. If you haven't checked them out, make sure you swing by their website and check out all their beautiful images. http://www.sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/ I colored the image with copics, added some prima flowers, brads, and ribbon. The sentiment is hand written with white gel pen. I've also added a little glitter to her eyes and leaves.

This cute little card is one I made a while back, but I never posted here. It's a digi stamp from CC Designs and I just think it's the cutest thing ever. I wish I could remember the cardstock that was used, but like I said, I made this a while ago and I'm afraid my memory isn't that great. The good news is, I've been very busy creating some adorable cards and other items, I just haven't been able to take photos of them, but I hope to do so this weekend and get some photos up very soon. Thank you for continuing to check my blog, I really appreciate your support and I promise to be better about this whole blog thing. :)

Happy Fall

Today I have a scrapbook page for you. This cute little layout was made using paper piecing patterns from myscrapchick.com. I jus love their patterns, so cute and easy to use. If you double click on the image and look closely, you'll see that the paper has little pumpkins and crows that match the paper piecings. Paper is by Recollections and I just love it! Hope you do too!

Santa's Little Elf

Well, Halloween is over and it's time to start making Christmas Cards. I can't believe it, stores are already putting out their decorations and I heard some Malls already have Santa ready and waiting to take pictures! I guess I better get busy! This sweet little card was made using Alva from Magnolia Stamps. The paper is a mixture of different brands...some Making Memories and I'm not sure what the others are...sorry about that. They were a couple of scraps I had left over. The image was colored using copics and a little glitter was added with my spica pen. Flowers are prima, swirl was cut using a Sizzix die, rhinestones are from Michaels, in the dollar bin! I believe ribbon is by paper studio. Thanks for looking!

Hope you feelabella!

I've been in a pink and black mood lately, can you tell? For this card, I used feelabella from Stampingbella. I've had this stamp for a while but haven't used it much, so I decided to pull it out and ink it up! The paper is by Paper Studio, Sentiment is printed on computer, flowers are prima, ribbon is by Paper Studio and has become my favorite ribbon ever! I use it so much! And of course image was colored with copic markers!

Also, I've added several cards to my Etsy shop...some that I haven't even posted here yet, so check my shop to see some previews of what's to come on my blog or to purchase them for yourself. Thanks for stopping by and remember, I'll be drawing a winner for the blog candy tomorrow!

60's Tilda

I finally got the chance to ink up 60's Tilda from Magnolia. I used the same paper that was used to make the Retail Bella card, just a few posts below. I liked the color combination so much that I decided to use it again with Tilda. Originally, I was only to post one of them on my blog, but I liked them both so much, I've decided to post them both. Sentiment stamp is by Studio G, ribbon is by Paper Studio, Paper is by Making Memories, flowers are prima, fabric brad is by Paper Studio, swirl punch is by Sizzix, and I think that's it :)

Pilgrim Tilda

This is really Witch Tilda with Pumpkins from Magnolia, but the minute I saw her, I thought she looked like a pilgrim. I've colored her with copics, and popped out her arms, shoes, and one of the pumpkins...although I don't think you can tell in the picture. The good news is, I recently got a new camera for my birthday and it takes much better pictures so from here on out, the detail in my posts should be more visible. But I digress...After coloring her with Copics, I added some glitter to the stems of the pumpkin and to the buckle with my spica pen. Then, I mounted her on some Thanksgiving paper and added a cute little sentiment that I printed off the computer. I don't usually buy sentiment stamps because I'd rather spend the money on image stamps so I just usually print them. The flowers and brad are by the paper studio from Hobby Lobby and I'm not sure where I got the ribbon. :)

Retail Therapy

I made this sassy card using savvyshopabella from Stampingbella. The paper is by Making Memories, flowers are from prima, and sentiment is by Stampingbella. The decorative tag was cut using the Home Accents cartridge for Cricut. Swirl is a Sizzix Punch. Ok, I think that's all the necessary info. I really had fun creating this card...I'm super girly so I love to make stuff like this. I colored the image with copics, as always and also used the nestabilities die for the scalloped background.

Witch Shoes

This is a cute little set I made for my husband to take to work for a secret gift exchange. Of course he didn't tell me he needed something until the night before and I didn't feel like running to the store...we live in the country. So I grabbed an empty prima flowers bottle and filled it with candy corn and decorated it. Then I found a plain orange gift bag in the closet and created a matching panel for the outside of it. And of course I had to make a cute little card that coordinated. I think it turned out pretty cute. You can't really see in the picture, but I put glitter on the shoes...oh, and the stamp is called Witch Shoes by Stampendous, paper is by Recollections (sold at Michaels)

Saturday, October 17, 2009

I made this card about a week ago and have been dying to show you guys. I just LOVE this stamp! It's Tilda with Spider by Magnolia and I love everthing about it! She's so much fun to color! I used copics to color her in and popped her shoes with foam tape. The paper is from my Mind's Eye and Penny Lane. I don't think it's meant for Halloween, but I just thought it looked kind of Halloween-y! I added a few prima flowers, a fabric brad and a sentiment I printed off the computer. Pretty simple card, but there's just something about it love. Hope you do too!

Camera out of commission

No new crafty posts today b/c my camera is not working correctly...probably b/c I dropped it :( I can take pictures, I just can't get them to load onto my computer. So guess I'll be doing things the old fashioned way...loading pictures onto SD card and having CD made at Walmart...until I get a new camera. So bare with me. I've created some really cute cards, I just need to get them on a CD. Also, when I am able to load photos here, I'll have some blog candy to give away! So check back. I'm hoping to have this all sorted out by Wednesday. :)

Under the Weather

I made this sweet little card using an image of Magnolia Tilda in Spring Rain that I got in a swap. I just think she's soooo cute! As I was making this card, I was worried it was going to be so ugly because the colors are kind of random, but after I put it all together it just seemed to work. I've popped the pocket with some foam tape, added a prima flower and a cute little sentiment. Image was colored with copic markers and I've added some stickles glitter to the water. Hope you like it!

OOps!

Yeah!!! My new Magnolia stamps have arrived and I'm so excited! They are just the cutest and my favorite is Oops Tilda. In this card, I used patterned paper from Hobby Lobby (paper studio) to create a baking theme. Then I colored my image with copics, and layered it on top of another images using foam tape. This just adds a little dimension. I then added a little prima flower and brads. Hope you like her!

Black, White, and Yellow...Oh My!!!

I have two cards for you today...both use the Black, White, and Yellow color scheme. For some reason I'm really into this right now...I just love these three colors together.
For the first card, I used Tilda with Bee stamp from Magnolia. I received this image in a swap and I just LOVE it!!!! I had so much fun coloring the stripes on her shirt. I picked out some scrap patterned paper I had left over from a differnt project and added some ribbon from Hobby Lobby. I then found a couple of prima flowers and added those as well. For some reason the flower is really bright yellow, but it's not quite that bright in person.

For the Second card, I used one of my new stamps from the Greeting Farm. She's called Rain and she is part of a 3 Stamp Set. I just got her in the mail yesterday and I couldn't wait to ink her up! Again, I found some left over patterned paper and added some ribbon also from Hobby Lobby. I really like the way she turned out and I have a feeling she's going to become one of my favorite stamps!

Spooky Edwin

So I recently purchased Halloween Edwin (Magnolia Stamp) and wanted to try him out...I love him! So much fun to color and I just think he looks so cute in his Vampire Costume! I don't have any of the Magnolia backgrounds and he looked kind of lonely there on a blank page so I decided to draw my own background. I think it turned out pretty good, but I'll let you be the judge. Of course I colored him with my copics and then I used some more of the paper I got from Michaels (Recollections Halloween Collection). I added some ribbon, brads and a cute little 3D bat sticker. The sentiment is a $1 stamp I picked up from Michaels as well. This card is for sale on Etsy. If you're interested, just click on the link to your left. I'll be adding some more cards later this afternoon. Thanks for looking!

Gorjuss Girl

Now that school has started, it's time for me to start stamping again! I usually try to do scrapbooking in the summer and stamping the rest of the year. This allows me to spend my summers off getting caught up on all my scrapbooking...which is more time consuming than stamping....but anyhoo...here is my card. I used an image from Gorjuss Girls that I received in a swap and colored her with my copics. Then I layered her on top of some new cardstock by Recollections....very cute. I just love these papers. I added some brads, prima flowers and my sentiment and then roughed up and inked the edges. I really like the way it turned out. Hope you do too. Thanks for visiting!

Surfs Up!

Surfer Lani from the Digi Shack http://thedigishack.wordpress.com/shoppe/ is one of my favorite images right now. She's so cute! For this card, I colored her with copics as usual and added a yellow circle in the background for a sun. I used the Stampin Up! ticket punch on the corners and added some brads as well as some ribbon to the top of the card. I just love the way it turned out. The artist who created this image is Lindsay of Sassy Studio Designs. She is in the process of creating a new digital stamp company and is currently holding a Design Team Call. I'm so excited because I absolutely love all of her designs and I can't wait to see what her new images are like! Check it out! http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/

Surfer Emma

The minute I saw this adorable image, I knew I had to have it. So I ordered it as a digi stamp and have used it quite a bit already. The image is called Surfer Emma and can be found at CCDesigns http://www.allthatscraps.com/ Every time I make a card with this image, it makes me want to visit the beach! For this card, I colored the image with copics and I believe the paper is from DCWV. Flowers are prima and brads are paper studio. Thanks for looking!

Hanna DT Guest Contest

So, I've decided to enter this card into the Hanna Stamps Design Team Contest going on right now. You have until June 20th to enter and from what I understand you can enter as many times as you want. Right now, this is my only entry, but I might decide to make a couple more cards between now and then depending on how much time I have. :) The stamp set I decided to use is "But I Need It" It's always been my favorite set so it seemed like the perfect choice. I paper pieced Hanna's dress as well as some of her shopping bags. The paper I used is by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and I think it turned out pretty cute. Image is colored with copic markers and is shown above. The link for the contest forum is here:

Grillin' Guy

I created this card about a month ago when I first got this stamp. I just think it's so cute and with Father's Day around the corner...ok, maybe not around the corner, but defintely about the block, I thought it would be appropriate. The stamp is grillafella from Stamping Bella. Sentiment is from Studio G. I used copict to color the image and added some prima flowers for embellishment.

Kissin and Tellin

Spring break is over and it's time to go back to school. It's amazing how quickly it goes by. The good news is that I had plenty of time to scrapbook and stamp! I made this card at a scrapbook retreat and I just love the way it turned out. The images are Mistletoe Tilda and Mistletoe Edwin. I love that you can use them year-round if you leave out the mistletoe. I used copic markers to color in the image as usual and then added this sweet little sentiment I picked up at Michaels. I also added some paper flowers (paper studio and prima). Hope you like it!

A Card for Mom

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Things have been so crazy lately. I teach high school and this weekend I had to go to an AP conference. It was very inspiring, but I certainly felt humbled by how much the presenters and other teachers knew about their field. I certainly have a lot to learn. But I did walk away with some helpful tips and exercises I plan to try out in the classroom.

I made this card for my mother. Something about it this image just reminds me of her. She is my best friend and I don't know where I'd be without her. The image is Fall Standing Tilda (Magnolia Stamps). I colored her with copics, the paper is from the Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby...gotta love 1/2 off paper! And the brads and flowers are from Paper Studio as well. Hope you like it!

Love that Red!

My very first blog. You'll have to be patient with me because I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing...so here it goes.

I made this card because I love the color red! Something about the color just makes me smile. I used copics to color it in. I just got the hang of using them and I think it turned out pretty good! The paper is DCWV. The cardstock is Georgia Pacific, ink is memento tuxedo black, and flowers are from Hobby Lobby. Oh, and of course the image is Magnolia Tilda with thistle. Thanks for stopping bye.
