Kraftin Kimmie Guest DT Call Part 4

Hello there!  Summer is almost here and today I have a fun Summer card to share with you guys!  This is Margarita from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  Kimmie is having another Guest DT call and I had so much fun guest designing in April that I thought I would try out again!

For this card, I started with some very fun paper and colored my image to match.  Then I added some die cuts, and embellishments to make it pop!

Here's a closer look:

I decided to paper piece the inner tube, but I have to tell you, this was a lot of work!  I didn't realize how difficult it would be to cut around her tiny feet and hands, but I do really like how it turned out!  So it was worth it!

Thank so much for stopping by!  Wish me luck in the DT call!

Sparkling Mermaid

Hello there!  Today I have a beautiful sparkling mermaid to share with you guys.  It seems like mermaids are everywhere in the craft-world right now no wonder, they're so fun to color!!!  I just love that you can really choose any colors and they look amazing!  This is Night Swim and you can find her HERE in the Saturated Canary Shop.  Isn't she just gorgeous!  I love that she's out of water and the moon and stars are behind her.  A little different take on the typical mermaid stamp.

For this card, I started with some adorable mermaid paper by Doodlebug.  I just love that they came out with this since I have a ton of mermaid stamps and always struggle to find matching paper.  I also love that is bright and fun of course :)  Then I colored my image to match the paper and added a ton of stickles glitter to her tail. I found some seaweed 3D stickers in my stash and cut some embellishments using my new LaLa Land Under the Sea die.  Oh and I was singing that song in my head the whole time I was making this!

Here's a close up.  You can see that I gave her some pearl earrings and I used yellow Smooch for the stars!  So much fun!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Be sure to snap this cutie up from the Saturated Canary store before August 31st. That's when the store is closing and all those gorgeous images will be gone for good.  Hope you have a great week!

Play Ball!

Hello there!  I feel like it's been forever since my last card!  So busy wrapping up the school year.  Have I mentioned I'm ready for summer???  Today, I have a Saturated Canary card to share using the lovely Spring Ball image.  Isn't she just adorable!!!  Since Baseball season is in full swing (pun intended) I decided to make a fun baseball/softball card!  Unfortunately, this image has been retired, but I didn't realize that until the card was already made.  My apologies!

I've noticed that my style has been changing a little.  I used to like things very clean and simple when it came to card making, but lately, I've been into tons of layers and embellishments!  The more the better!  And... I've also just discovered mulberry flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts!  They are just beautiful and addicting!  As you can see, I've added some here.  So pretty!

All Dressed Up New Release - Gaming Boy

Hello!  Guess What!  It's New Release Day at All Dressed Up Stamps!!!  You can find all the new images in the Shop.  So head over there and check them out!  Today, I have a fun card to share using the new image Gaming Boy.  I just love this stamp!  It's so hard to find good "boy/guy" images and this is one I can see myself using again and again!  Plus, he was a ton of fun to color!

For this card, I pulled out some of my old scrapbooking paper.  This set is called Generation Tech Stack from DCWV.  This stuff must be at least 5+ years old, but it was absolutely perfect for this image.  If you look closely, you can see that the green paper has video game controllers on it!  Perfect!  I always choose my paper first when creating a card and then I color the image to match.  I really liked that this paper was bright and fun so I decided to use it!

Next, I went through my 3D stickers and found one that had a video game controller so I pulled that out and added it to the card. The grey banner at the bottom was from the patterned paper.

I die cut some stars and added some enamel dots and a button and there you have it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

All Dress Up Facebook Challenge - Blue

Hello!  It's time for another All Dressed Up Facebook challenge.  This month, the theme is Blue.  You can find all the details HERE so be sure to pop over there and play along.  I'd love to see what you create!  For my inspiration card, I decided to use Country Cow Girl.  Since I live in Texas, I have a special place in my heart for country cards.  I love hair and her little boots and her bandana is so cute!  And yes, people do dress this way in Texas :)  I colored her up with Copic Markers and used some adorable western papers from Carta Bella.  Then I added a sweet little cowboy boot charm and some paper flowers to finish it off!
