You Warm My Heart

Happy New Year's Eve!  Today, I have a Greeting Farm card to share.  This is from the Together Anywhere set which you can find HERE in the store.  It's finally gotten cold here in Texas so I thought I would start using some of my winter images.  I'm a sucker for anything that involves scarves, mittens, hats, hot cocoa, etc.  Something about these things, just makes me smile.

Here's a closer look at the card:

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!  I meant to post this earlier today, but with all the holiday hustle, this was the earliest I could get it uploaded.  This is called The Ballet and you can find it here in the Saturated Canary shop, but only for a limited time so don't wait!  The minute I saw this image, I knew I had to make a card with it.  I've always loved The Nutcracker and one day I hope to start a family tradition with my son (when he's old enough to enjoy it).  I even love watching it on TV.

For this card, I colored the image with Copics, added some paper from American Crafts, punched a white snowflake using a die from Gina Marie Designs, added the sentiment from Stampin Up, a couple of flags from my Stampin up punch and a button from my stash.  I really wanted to keep this card pretty simple so all the focus would be on the image.

Here's a closer look.  Thanks so much for stopping by and Merry Christmas!

Pretty Christmas

Hello there!  I can't believe it's almost Christmas!  Where does the time go??  Just wanted to share this beautiful image with you today.  This is Avery Pretty Christmas from Saturated Canary.  You can find her here in the shop.  She's part of the Holiday Set of Three Digi's.

For this card, I used some adorable paper from American Crafts called "Be Merry."  I colored the image with Copics, and added a little glitter to the yellow ornaments with my Copic Spica pen.  Then I added a couple of rhinestones and some ribbon from my stash.  Border dies are from My Favorite Things.

Here's a close up of the colored image.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Merry Christmas!

Magical Mermaid

Hello!  With Christmas just around the corner, I should be making Christmas cards, but instead, I have something a little different to show you today.  This is Evie's Sister and is one of the newest digi stamps from Saturated Canary.  Isn't she gorgeous!!  I just love this image and I had so much fun coloring her up!

Ok, so I have to tell you that this card almost ended up in the trash a couple times.  After I started coloring her, I realized I knew nothing about coloring mermaids.  So I watched a couple of Youtube videos, made a lot of mistakes, did some covering up, and this is the end result.  I couldn't be happier with it!  Just goes to show you that sometimes mistakes are the best things :)

So, let me give you the details.  For this card, I colored the image with Copics and then added some stickles glitter to her tail and face.  Then I used the Leafy Flourish die from My Favorite Things to make the sea weed.  Next, I added some coral with a  Martha Stewart branch punch.  Then, I added several 3D stickers from various companies that I had in my stash.  I popped on some "bubbles" dots with Liquid Pearls and added the sentiment from Stamping Bella.  Oh, and the background paper is by Doodlebug.  I really hope you like the end result.  I think I may try more mermaids in the future :)

Santa in His PJ's

Ho Ho Ho!  Christmas is just around the corner!  I can't believe it's already December.  Where does the time go? Have you made a dent in your Christmas shopping?   Unfortunately, I have barely begun.  Guess I better get busy!  Today, I have an adorable little card to share with you using one of the new Whimsie Doodles stamps called Santa's Break.  Isn't he just the cutest!  I just love his little PJ's and cookie!  Oh so cute!  You can find him HERE in the store. He would be the perfect addition to your holiday cards!

For this card, I colored him up with my Copics and used some adorable paper from American Crafts.  Then I stamped the little Christmas sentiment from one of my Stampin Up stamp sets and then added some sparkly holly.  (hint: holly is from Walmart and is actually considered table confetti, but it's made out of cardboard and is already all glittered up so I decided to use it on my card).

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy crafting!

Stepping Stones

Hello there!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Just wanted to share a new card from Saturated Canary using an image called Stepping Stones.  She's part of a three pack of digi's called "For the Girls" and you can find it here in the shop.

For this card, I cropped the image and kept it pretty simple.  I chose a square card and added some beautiful papers from Teresa Collins.  I then punched a little flag using my Stampin Up punch and added a button from my stash.  And, of course, the image is colored with Copics.

Here's a side view of the card.  Since I used Craft Card Stock, I added a piece of die cut white card stock to the inside so a note could be easily written.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Snowball Fight!

Hello there!  Hope you are enjoying your week.  It's almost Thanksgiving here in the states so I've been busy preparing for the holiday, but I did get some time to do some crafting.  Today, I have a sweet little image from Saturated Canary.  This is called Beach.  Although, from the looks of it, you may be wondering why.  Well... I decided to crop this image and cute out the sign that says "beach" on it.  I really wanted to zoom in on the image.  She's just so cute!

For this card, I started with Craft Cardstock and made a square card.  Then I added some adorable holiday paper from Carta Bella and used my circle die from My Favorite Things to cut the image. The Snowflake is from MFT as well and the button is from my stash.  The little flag was cut using a punch from Stampin Up.  I then added a little Stickles to the snow to make it sparkle and of course the image was colored with Copics.

Fairy Gift

Hello there!  Today I have another fabulous card to show you from Saturated Canary.  This is Fairy Gift.  Isn't she adorable!!!  I just love her jacket with the patch on the elbow and her fingerless gloves.  Reminds me of Scrooge :)  You can find her here in the shop.

Here's a side view.  Lots of dimension for this card.

For this card, I colored her up with my Copics, of course.  Added some adorable patterned paper, some holly leaves from my Sizzix die, some red buttons from my stash and a flag sentiment from Stampin Up.  I also added some glitter to her wings using my Copic Spica pen in clear.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hope you like her!

Angie Jam

Today I have another image from Saturated Canary to share with you.  This is Angie Jam.  You can find her here in the shop.  Ok, so I have been in love with this image since the day it was released.  It is so adorable!  But I've always been too scared to color it, worried I would mess it up.  So, I recently made myself suck it up and color.  It's not exactly how I had envisioned it, but I do really like how it turned out.  It was a lot of fun to color and after I finish my clothing class with Kit and Clowder, I'm sure I will try again. I'm in the process of learning how to color folds and let me tell you, they are kinda tricky!

Here's a closer look at the actual image.

For this card, I decided to try a unique card size.  I don't do many cards that are long and skinny like this, but to be honest, I kinda like them, especially for larger images.  I colored her up with my Copic Markers, added some bright colored paper, punched some hearts and added a charm from my stash.  And there you have it, one fun card!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a great week!

For this card, I kept things pretty simple.  I used some super cute feather paper from Doodlebug and some bright orange ribbon from my stash.  Slot punch is from Stampin Up and the Scallop frame die is from Spellbinders.

Mother Mary

Hello there!  I have another Saturated Canary card for you guys.  This is one of the new Christmas images called Mother Mary.  As a mother and Christian, I absolutely love this image.  It's just so sweet!

For this card, I colored it up with Copics, and used some pretty Christmas paper from K & Co called Yuletide.  Then I added a doily from my stash, some Prima flowers, and some punched embellishments.  The ribbon is also from my stash.  Swirl die on the corner is from My Favorite Things.

Here's a closer look at the details:

Thankful Pilgrim

Ok, so I know it's Halloween, but I don't have a spooky card to show.  Instead, I've already moved on to the next holiday- Thanksgiving!  This is the Pilgrim image from Whimsie Doodles.  Isn't he adorable!  You can find him under the people section of the shop.  For this card, I colored this little guy up with my Copics and added some adorable fall paper from Doodlebug.  The ribbon is from Stampin Up.  Easy-peasy.

Bellarific Friday!!!

Hello there!
I've been busy stamping away and today I have a cute little witchy card from Stamping Bella to share with you.  This is Willow the Witch and you can find her here .  The minute this stamp came out, I knew I had to have her.  You see, I have a slight addiction to Uptown Girls and Tiny Townies.  I just can't help myself.  They are just so darn cute!

I colored her up with copics and added some adorable paper from Doodlebug.   This is their most recent Halloween Collection: October 31st.  This I popped on some cute little 3D bat stickers from Recollections.  Here's a closer look:

Saturated Canary GDT!!!

Hello!  I'm so excited to announce that I've been chosen to be on the Saturated Canary Guest Design Team for the next three months!!! To say the least, I'm elated!  I have long since loved Saturated Canary images and I can't wait to get started.  For my first post I have Princess and A Frog.  You can find it in the shop here.  I actually created this adorable card about a week ago, but never got a chance to share it.  So, I thought I would post it now to go along with my big announcement :)

For this card, I used some Imaginsce Twitterpatted paper I've been hoarding for years now and tried to keep things simple.  The clouds and washie tape were made using dies from My Favorite Things.  The flower is Prima, linen thread is Stampin Up, and button was from my stash.

As you all know, I've been working on my Copic coloring skills and I'm currently taking the Skin and Hair class over at Kit and Clowder.  I just love how the hair turned out on this image, but I have to admit at one point I almost threw this in the trash because I was so frustrated.  However, I worked at it and I think I did a pretty good job fixing my mistakes.  Obviously, I still have a lot to learn, but I'm very happy with my progress.  If you looking for some coloring 101, I highly recommend Kit and Clowder. Well worth every penny :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great week!

This is Winter Tammi and she is just the cutest!  The minute I saw her, I knew I had to have her.  You guys know I'm a sucker for coffee/hot chocolate images! :)  I've been practicing my coloring and I'm just so excited about how this turned out.  Her boots are my favorite part!  Well, wish me luck and thanks so much for stopping by!  (Paper is American Crafts Hot Cocoa).

Firefly Whimsie Doodle

Hello there!! Today I have a firefly card to show you!  This is Firefly Lizzie.  You can find her here in the shop.  She was so much fun to color and I just love how this turned out. She reminds me of s'mores and campfires, the beginning of fall.  I can't wait for the cooler weather!  As usual, I colored her up with my copics and I used some dies from My Favorite Things for the little fireflies.  Added some cute patterned paper, and here it is!  Thanks for stopping by! Bye Bye Summer!

Hello there!  So excited to be back and showing you some of my creations.  We just bought a new house and spent most of our summer moving so it was nice to have a little crafting break, but now I am refreshed and ready to try out my new craft room!  Just wanted to share one last summer card before we dive into fall.  This little guy is Scuba Ollie and you can find him in the Whimsie Doodles shop here.  I just love how cute he is in his little snorkel gear.

Coffee Time

Hello, hello!

Someone is in a great mood!  Me!  It's the last week of school for me (I'm a teacher) and summer is almost here!  So excited!  Today I have a sweet little card to share with you guys.  This is Café Lizzie and you can find her here in the Whimsie Doodles shop.  I have to tell you I've been dying to use this paper since I got it 5 years ago!  I know, I'm a paper hoarder and I have a problem!  As soon as I saw this little cutie, I just knew she would be perfect for it!  This paper is actually from the Dollar Tree (everything is $1)  Crazy... I know!  It came in a set of 4 sheets and accents I think.  Just goes to show you that sometimes you really can find good bargains out there!

Bellarific Friday

Hello there!
Things have been a bit crazy lately.  As a teacher, things are always hectic at the end of the semester and this year is no different.  Grading papers, submitting final grades, etc.  On top of that, we are also selling our house and having a new one built so the word of the day is... CHAOS!  However, I did find a little time to create this adorable card.  This is Audrey Love Make-Up, one of my most favorite stamps!  I just love how classy she looks.  This week's Bellarific Challenge was "Anything Goes" so I used the sketch from the previous week and created this simple little beauty!

Gnome Place Like Home!

Hello, hello!  Larisa here bringing you a sweet little Gnome card from Whimsie Doodles!  I'm not sure what it is about Gnomes, but I just love them!  They're so stinkin' cute!

For this project, I wanted to create something a little different so I used a Gate Fold card that opens in the middle.  I merged the Gnome Home with Gnomie in Microsoft Word to create one image, colored it up, and added this cute little mushroom paper.  You can find both of these images here!

Two cards to share

Hello there!  It's finally Friday and today I have two cards to share.  Both are from Whimsie Doodles and can be found here

For this silly little card, I used one of the images from the Egged Set.  I added some googley eyes and kept the card pretty simple.  Something about it just makes me smile :)

For the second card, I used Hoodie Jayson.  I'm always on the hunt for "boy" images and I just love this one.  So cute!

Hello there!  Today I'm here to bring you a sweet little card using Rainy Day Abby.  She's located in the What's New section of the Whimsie Doodles shop and she's so cute.  Totally fitting too since it's been raining here in Texas for days now.  I keep reminding myself that we need it and it will make everything pretty once it warms up :)

Adorably Irish

Top of the Mornin' to ya!  Haha!  Hope you are having a great week!  Here in Texas it's Spring Break and the weather is finally nice!  With St. Partick's Day just around the corner, I thought I share this little cutie with you!  This is Adorably Irish and you can find him under the What's New category in the Whimsie Doodles shop.

For this card, I kept things pretty simple.  First, I colored up the little guy with my copics, added some glitter to his pot of gold, and then mounted him on top of some simple green flourish paper from Hobby Lobby.  Then, I finished it off with a simple four-leaf clover sticker.  And there you have it, one quick simple card for St. Patty's Day!

Space Cadet

Hello!  Today I'm bringing you a boy card for a change.  I don't know why I don't make more boy cards...you think I would since I have a baby boy now, but I, like most, still make mostly cards for girls.  Maybe they're just more fun because of all the girl stuff you can put on them :)  Anyhoo...I made this sweet little card for my nephew that just turned 3.  I can't believe how quickly he's growing!  For the card, I used the Space Cadets set found under the "What's New" tab of the Whimsie Doodles shop.  Isn't he just adorable!!!

For this card, I used a few of the images and created a little scene with them.  Then I colored them up with my Copic markers and found this adorable paper to coordinate.  The number 3 is from a dienamics set from My Favorite Things and the scallop is a punch from Stampin Up.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Sleep Over!

Meet Bed Time Lizzie!  When I saw this image, I just knew I had to create a little slumber party card.  I always love sleep overs as a child.  Endless hours of movie watching, gossip, and pizza.  What could be more fun?  You can find this sweet little image in the "What's New" section of the Whimsie Doodles shop.  I just love her!  Can't wait to give this to a special little cousin of mine.  I think she'll love it!

For this sweet little card, I found some super girly scrap paper in my stash and added these 3D stickers to accent.  I then colored up my image with copics to match and popped it with dimensional dots.  I just love how it turned out!
