Hello everyone! Welcome to DAY 8 of the annual La-La Land Crafts 14 Days of Christmas!

Today, I'm sharing a tutorial on how to create a quick and easy Treat Holder.  

Today's tutorial is: Winter Piggies Treat Holder

I find myself creating all sorts of treats for friends, co-workers, teachers, etc. during the holidays.  These quick and easy treat holders are the perfect holiday gift, especially if you need to make a bunch of them!

Winter Piggies Clear Stamp Set
Home For Christmas Paper Pack

Poinsettia Die
Large Stitched Tags Die

Double Stitched Rectangles Die

COPIC COLORS

Pig: R00, R11, R20, R21, E97

Red: R35, R37, R56, R58

Black: W5, W7

Teal: BG10, BG13, BG72

Poinsettia: W2

PAPER CUTS & SCORING

White Card Stock: Cut at 1 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches

Score at 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 inches

Cut two Tags from Plaid Paper (second to smallest size)

Cut two Tags from white card stock (second to smallest size)

Cut one Stitched Rectangle from Wood Paper (middle size) 

Cut one Poinsettia from white card stock

Cut one Poinsettia center from yellow card stock

~ now for the tutorial you have been waiting for ~ 

Adhere each of the plaid tags to the white card stock tags so that they line up perfectly.  

Adhere the scored rectangle at the bottom white side of each tag so that the two piece are connected white sides facing in.   

Using strong adhesive (double-sided tape), attach back of candy to the inside of the treat holder (white side).  

Thread decorative ribbon through the holes at the top of both tags.  Tie a bow, closing the treat holder.  

Decorate the front of the treat holder.  Using foam tape, adhered stitched rectangle wood panel to the center of the front tag (the one without candy attached).  

Use W2 Copic marker and Stickles Glitter Glue to decorate poinsettia.  Layer together and adhere to the left side of the wood piece.  Trim off any excess that overlaps on the bottom so that treat holder will stand up.  

Stamp and color pig image.  Fussy cut him out and adhered him to the right side of poinsettia using foam tape.  

Stamp Sentiment in black ink on white card stock.  Use washi tape to mask off portion of sentiment so that only "warm hugs" stamps.  Trim into rectangle.  Adhered to top of wood rectangle using foam tape.

La-La Land Crafts December 2020 Release: Christmas Elf Marci

 Hello!  I'm back today sharing another fun card from the NEW Release at La-La Land Crafts!  All the new goodies are in the shop now so be sure to check them out!  

For my card, I started with some new patterned paper.  I trimmed that to fit my card base then layered it on top of some dark red card stock.  Then I used the Mountain die to create my background.  I die cut the Ski Lodge and pieced it together in coordinating colors.  Then I adhered that to the right sid eof my card panel.  I added some snow using white glittered card stock and the Lake Die.  I also used the NEW On The Wall Layering Stencil to create a little sidewalk.  After coloring and fussy cutting my Marci image, I popped her up on my scene using some foam tape.  A cute little sentiment finishes it off.

La-La Land Crafts December 2020 Release: Snowboard Luka

 Hello!  Happy Monday!  Today, I'm sharing a fun winter card featuring the new stamps and dies from La-La Land Crafts!  You can find all the NEW Goodies HERE.  Be sure to hop over there and check it out!

For my card, I started with a sheet of the new patterned paper and trimmed it to fit the front of my card base.  Then I die cut the mountains, ski lift, and trees from card stock and layered them together in my background.  I used some white glitter card stock for my snowy ground and added some die cut pond elements to look like drifts of snow.  Then I colored up Luka, fussy cut him out and popped him on top of my scene using some foam tape.  I also die cut the skis from blue card stock and added those to the scene with foam tape as well.  A fun little sentiment finishes it off!

La-La Land Crafts : Encouragement

 

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a fun little encouragement card featuring Soy Happy For You from La-La Land Crafts.  To create my card, I started with some patterned papers from the Asian Fusion Paper Pack.  I die cut it with the Double Stitched Rectangles Die and layered on top of a black scalloped rectangle.  Then I trimmed a piece of white card stock into a rectangle and adhered that to the top of my card panel and trimmed each side with some gold foiled card stock.  I stamped my sentiment towards the bottom and added my colored image and die cut Garden Lantern just above it.  Such a fun little encouraging card to cheer anyone up!

La-La Land Crafts Tag

 Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a sweet little Christmas Tag featuring the Dear Santa Clear Stamp Set from La-La Land Crafts!  To create this little tag, I started with my image, stamped him out, and colored him up with my Copics.  Then I die cut the Country Hill Die from some White card stock and colored it up to look like a winter farm scene.  I die cut that using the stitched squares die and layered that on top of a white die cut postage stamp.  Then I added some patterned papers to my kraft tag and popped on my feature image using foam tape.  At the top of the tag, I added some die cut pine boughs, some ribbon, a couple of jingle bells and some red enamel dots.  

I just love how this turned out.  The perfect addition to a holiday gift!

La-La Land Crafts 3D Harvest

Hello!  This week's theme at La-La Land Crafts is 3D Harvest.  I decided to make a mini tag flip album for my project!  First, I die cut 5 pieces of chipboard into large tags.  Then I backed each side with patterned paper or card stock.  I decorated both sides with die cuts, scalloped frames, etc.  On the front, I created a little fall scene and attached them all together with a metal ring.  Then I tied on some ribbons and there you have it.  One sweet little tag flip album!

Hello there!  Now that Halloween is almost here, it's time to start making Christmas Cards! lol!  This week's theme at La-La Land Crafts is Black, White, and one other color.  I decided to make a cute little holiday card for a particular dog-lover I know.  I used the pretty patterned papers from the Christmas Hodgepodge Paper Pack, die cut them out and layered them all together.  Then I added some die cut trees, a sentiment banner, and my little doggie.  A few clear enamel dots finish it off.

 Hello!  Halloween is just around the corner and today I have a fun little Spooky card to share with you guys!  The theme at La-La Land Crafts this week is SPOOKY.  For my card, I created a fun little scene that's probably a little more cute than spooky!  I used several dies to create my little scene and added some polkadot patterned paper to the background.  Then, I colored up my image, fussy cut her out, and popped her on top using some foam tape!

La La Land Crafts Tutorial: Using Your Scraps

Hello, today, I'm sharing a fun tutorial.  La-La Land Crafts has so many amazing paper pads!  But what if you have a bunch of scraps and none of them are big enough to make a full-sized card?  Well, you can use them up by making Gift Enclosures!  This cute little 3x3 mini cards are the perfect way to use up your scraps!

Hello There stamp Set

First, you'll want to collect your scraps.  I'm using a bunch of scraps from the Hello Life Paper Pack.  This is one of my absolute FAVORITE paper packs and I have used up all of my full-sized sheets, but I have a ton of scraps that I'm going to use for my project today.  

Step#1: Trim white heavy-weight card stock into 3x3 card bases.  You can score them so that they are top fold or side fold.  Both ways are cute!  

Step #2: Find your larger scraps and trim them into squares that are 2.75x2.75.  These will be layered on top of your card bases.  

Step #3: Use your Scalloped Squares Die to cut out some white card stock.  I used the second-to-smallest size in the set.  Then use the Double Stitched Squares Die to cut some patterned paper.  Again, I used the second-to-smallest size in the set.  

Step #4: Stamp, color, and fussy cut your image.  I'm using the Squeeze The Day Clear Stamp Set.  (Copic colors listed below)

Step #5: Use foam tape to adhere the layers together.  Because these are very small, I like to add lots of dimension to add interest.  

Step #6: Adhere the whole thing to the top of your card base and add your sentiment.  

Step #7: Add die cuts and use your scraps.  Try to choose patterns that are more neutral so that your eye can focus when you layer it all together.

La-La Land Crafts New Release

 Hello!  I'm back today sharing another fun card featuring the NEW Release from La-La Land Crafts.  For my card today, I chose these sweet little chipmunks from the Soy Happy For You Clear Stamp Set.  Aren't they adorable!  I colored them up with Copics, fussy cut them out and popped them on top of this black and white background I created using the NEW Asian Flair Layering Stencil.  Then I layered that on top of some super pretty patterned paper and cut the whole thing out with the largest stitched rectangle die.  Then I added some strips of glitter paper and adhered all of it to a scalloped rectangle in black.  A fun little sentiment and some enamel dots finish it off.  Love how this turned out!

La La Land Crafts September 2020 Release Day #3

 

Hello there!  I'm back sharing one more card using the New September Release for La-La Land Crafts!  For my card today, I'm featuring Luka with Remote.  Isn't he adorable!!!  To create my card, I started with some patterned paper from the NEW Asian Fusion Paper Pack.  I die cut it using the largest stitched rectangle die and mounted that on top of a scalloped rectangle cut from a piece of blue card stock.  Then I added a strip of grey card stock to the bottom to act as my floor.  I used the Movie Night Marquee Die to cut several colors of card stock.  I pieced them all together to create a fun and colorful sign for the top of my card.  Then I colored up Luka with Copics, fussy cut him out and popped him onto my card using foam tape.  I also used one of the smaller stitched rectangle dies to cut a side table.  Using my Copic Markers, I gave it a "wood" effect and added my die cut lamp on top.  A cute little sentiment at the bottom finishes it off.

Hello, I'm back today sharing another fun card from the NEW Release at La-La Land Crafts! Today, I'm featuring Marci with Pen!  I've paired her with several of the new dies to create a fun little card.  I paper pieced her leggings and headband, colored her up with Copics, and fussy cut her out.  Then I layered her on top of some patterned paper and added some coordinating dies.  A few enamel hearts finish it off.

La-La Land Crafts September 2020 Release Day #1

 

Hello!!!  It's Release Day at La-La Land Crafts!!!! So many stamps, dies, stencils, papers, etc. released!  You don't want to miss it!  Be sure to stop by the store to check out all the new goodies!  

For my card today, I'm featuring the NEW Happy Mail Clear Stamp Set.  I paired it with a bunch of the new dies and even some of the new paper!  First, I die cut a piece of white card stock with the NEW Postage Square Die.  Then I added a layer of blue patterned paper on top.  I LOVE that the Double Stitched Squares Die pairs perfectly with the NEW Postage Square Die!  Then I layered on a strip of yellow paper from the NEW Asian Fusion Paper pack.  Then I layered on top the NEW Left Pocket Die and added a pink tag and mini postage stamp.  On the front of the pocket, I added some heart paper, my little stamped piggy, and the Ink Well.  I just love how this turned out.  So many great new products that make creating a breeze!~

 Hello!  This week's theme at La-La Land Crafts is Music!  So I created this cute little card featuring the

Rock On Hippos!  I used some patterned paper and the Curtain Die to create a little stage.  Then popped my hippos on top using some foam tape.  I added the Musical Note Border Die across the bottom and finished it off with some die cut stars and my sentiment.  Such a fun and totally Rockin' card!

 Hello, the theme this week at La-La Land Crafts is birthday!  For my card, I decided to use this sweet little duck and turn him into a birthday card.  I die cut some patterned paper to fit my card base and layered on a striped tag, postage stamp, and oval.  Then I popped the duck on with some foam tape and added my sentiment.  Some enamel dots and pom-pom trim finish it off.

La-La Land Crafts Stencils

Hello!  I'm getting a head start on my Christmas Cards.  This week the theme at La-La Land Crafts is Stencils!  For my card, I created a sweet little scene with elves using the Snowy Hills Layering Stencil.  I added some trees, snow, three little elves and a fun little sentiment.

La-La Land Crafts Outdoors

Hello there!  Hope you're Monday is going well.  Today, I'm sharing an Outdoors themed card using some adorable products from La-La Land Crafts!  For my card, I started with some patterned paper and trimmed that to fit just on top of the largest scalloped rectangle die cut from pink card stock.  Then I added a die cut sun, some clouds, and my sentiment.  I colored up this sweet little duck using a no line coloring technique.  Then I fussy cut it out and popped it on top using some foam tape.  Such a sweet way to brighten someone's day!

La-La Land Crafts Masculine

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a Masculine Card to fit the theme this week at La-La Land Crafts.  For my card, I decided to go with a rock'n roll theme.  First, I started with some musical note patterned paper and added a strip of Kraft card stock to the bottom.  Then I die cut a large star out of teal paper and added that to the background.  I also included a red curtain, complete with yellow stars as well as a music note border across the bottom.  Then I colored up my image, fussy cut him out, and popped him on top using some foam tape.  My sentiment and some enamel dots finish it off.
