Kraftin Kimmie October Krafty Peeks Day #1

Hello!  It's finally here!  Day ONE of the
October Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

First on the list is the beautiful new nativity set by artist Becky Pearce!
  It's called CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!
This sweet 4x6 clear stamp set features Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and a little shepherd! Plus adorable animals, accessory stamps, sentiments and more with a total of SIXTEEN stamps for an endless combination of design possibilities!

For my card, I decided to create a little scene using the adorable Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus.  I masked in the little donkey and camel and stamped the moon and stars for a little night-time background.  I chose some earthy Christmas papers and colored my image to match using Copic Markers.  Then I layered several of the patterned papers and die cut my little scene using an oval die. I popped it in the middle using foam tape and added a ton of paper flowers to create a little arrangement.  A couple of gold pearls and twill ribbon top it all off.

CC Designs October Release Day

Today is RELEASE DAY for all of the new OCTOBER Products at C.C. Designs!! As you have seen from our Preview Days, this release revolves around Christmas (which is right around the corner folks)!! For the month of October, we have 13 new character stamps, 4 dies, a Holiday Background stamp set, and a new Sentiment set.

For my card, I used the adorable Peppermint stamp and Holly Jolly Sentiments Set! Isn't she just the cutest????  I love the little peppermint candy in her hair... too cute!  To start, I chose some whimsical holiday paper with pinks and reds.  I though it would be perfect for a candy cane image.  Then, I colored my image to match and matted it with a piece of colored cardstock.  Next, I stamped my sentiment which coordinates perfectly with this image.  Finally, I layered several sheets of patterned paper, die cut a circle, and popped my image on top with foam tape.  Some die cut swirls, glitter snowflakes, and ribbon top the card off.

CC Designs October Release Preview Day #1

Hello!  Today is Preview Day #1 for the October CC Designs Release!  I can't believe it's October already!  That means it's time to get started on those Christmas Cards.  Not to worry, CC Designs has you covered!  This month's release is all about Christmas!  Today, I'm featuring the adorable Elves Set!  Let me tell you, you are going to love it!  It's filled with adorable elves perfect for the Holiday Season!  I'm also featuring the NEW Holiday Tag Die which come complete with tag, a little nesting square for the inside and a sentiment strip!  Perfect for all those holiday gifts!

For my card, I first created the little tag.  I die cut it out in some festive Doodlebug paper and then stamped and colored my image to match.  I cut the elf out with my Scan N Cut 2 and popped him on top of the tag using foam tape.  I chose an adorable sentiment from the NEW Holly Jolly Sentiments set and stamped it to the side of my little elf.  Then, I created the background.  I cut a couple sheets of patterned paper and layered them on top of each other and finished them off with a scallop boarder (which is actually a frame that I cut to fit).  Then, I popped my tag in the center with foam tape and added a couple of die cut tags to the top right corner.  Some bright enamel dots finish it off.

Kraftin Kimmie Saturday Challenge - Black

Hello!  Today is Saturday and that means there's an all new challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!  This week's challenge is to use the Color Black.  Personally, I love using black on my cards, although I know some people really struggle with this.  However, Halloween is just around the corner so this should be an easy one!

For my card, I decided to use the adorable set Make Your Own Magic.  I chose some fun patterned paper, colored my image to match and cut it out on my Scan N Cut2.  Then I layered up several sheets of paper and popped my image on top with some foam tape.  I added a little polka-dot pleated ribbon, some die cut stars and some black enamel dots.  A die cut tag with sentiment top it all off.

Kraftin Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Holiday Sissy

Hello!  It's Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin Kimmie and today I'm sharing a whimsical holiday card featuring Holiday Sissy which was just released on Saturday.  You can find her HERE in the shop!

For my card, I found some fabulous holiday paper with pink, gold, green, and black!  Love it!  So I chose a few patterns to work with and colored my image to match using my Copic Markers.  Then I die cut several layers, added some ribbon, and placed my image on top.  Then I added some paper straws, flowers, rhinestone swirls, and a couple of punched tags in the corner.  Oh, and those little yellow roses are actually gold roses, not sure if you can really tell from the picture :)  There you have it... one nontraditional holiday card!

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest (The Whole Herd)

Hello!  Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!  Today, I'm here sharing a card I made for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest!  Be sure to hop over there and check out all the fabulous creations that have already been submitted!  So many gorgeous cards!!!  If you're interested in throwing your hat into the ring, there's still time!  The contest ends this Thursday!

For my card, I knew I wanted to create something over-the-top, but I just couldn't decide which stamp set to use.  There are so many fabulous choices and I certainly own my fair share of MFT stamps and dies.  So, as I was flipping through my choices, I got the idea to use all of them!  Ok, not really, because I own way more MFT stamps than what you see here, but I did decide to create a little group photo featuring MFT characters from today and years passed.  First I chose a few to stamp and then I masked those off and stamped some more.  Then I masked those off and stamped some more.  What you see here is the result.  A fun little group photo!  I colored the images up with Copic markers, added a couple of tags from the Blueprints 1 Dienamics set and stamped my sentiment in the top left-hand corner.  The sentiment is from the You Gnome Me set.

Here's a side view:

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little cow from the Whole Herd set and used the sentiment from that set as well.  I masked off the Happy Birthday part and just used the bottom portion.  It seemed fitting given the theme of the card.

You can find all the sets I used below along with the Copic colors I used to color this scene.  Thank you so much for stopping by and wish me luck!
